Ever heard of Body Dysmorphic Disorder? I became fascinated with the subject whilst writing my dissertation, and this image was the end product. Sufferers see their small imperfections as huge flaws in their character, sometimes believing they're monstrous. I wanted to produce an illustration which highlights this in a way that educates people without alienating anyone.
